Chapterseventynine Competition.

To celebrate the first birthday of Chapterseventynine we are holding a small competition for short stories and poetry.

Entries are invited of no more than 1,000 words, or 20 lines of poetry.

The theme: Birthday(s)

There will be a £10 Borders book token prize for the winner of each section.

Entry is free. No more than 3 entries per individual.

Entries must be written in English.

Entries are submitted via chapterseventynine.com internal private message system.

Please send your entry to Kate, Ragna or Hannah.

Your entry will be acknowledged by return. If you do not receive an acknowledgment please keep pestering us.

Entries will remain the copyright of the author. The winning story and poem along with those short listed by the judges will be published in an printed anthology. All authors and poets will receive a free copy. We will be in contact for postal addresses and bio should you be accepted to the anthology.

Competition ends October 10th 2009

All entries will receive a short synopsis of the judges’ comments.

No judges’ are allowed to enter the competition.

The judges’ decision is final.

This is our first competition so feel free to ask questions on the question thread.
